Custom framing that protects and enhances your artwork

Framing is crucial for both the presentation and preservation of an artwork. The frame can strengthen visual impressions, highlight details in the subject, and create a specific atmosphere around the artwork. At ART2, we offer an extensive selection of frame moldings. In larger projects, we often design custom frames in collaboration with our clients or their designers. This allows for a wide range of expressions, profiles, materials, and colors.

We often use art glass in our framing, a type of glass specifically developed to provide better protection from damage caused by light and environmental influences. Art glass reduces UV exposure and protects against light damage. It has anti-reflective properties that enhance visibility and clarity, while maintaining the true colors and details of the artwork without distortion.

Matting – creative and protective framing

Matting is an essential element in our framing solutions. This cardboard material frames and highlights the artwork, and is commonly used for graphic prints, photographs, and other prints. Visually, the matting creates air and space around the subject, which aesthetically enhances the artwork. At ART2, we use high-quality matting that is both acid-free and lignin-free to ensure long-term preservation.

We cut the matting with a market-leading digital cutter, providing high precision and quality in the execution. In addition, the matting has a protective function by preventing direct contact between the artwork and the glass, which reduces the risk of damage.
